The right person or couple would have some good DIY/Trade abilities, have tools, be prepared to do jobs in lieu of rent. They would also have some gardening/growing skills and an absolute commitment to maintain the land and use the polytunnel. Have enough of their own rescources to pay their bills and electric use without any state benefit claim (The Irish system is already over-burdened). They would provide adequate heating in the winter months so that the property is cared for. We have a log burner and electric night storage units. They would organize an internet connection for contact. They would also cover some insurance costs for the property and leave a refundable deposit with us. They would understand that we would visit from time to time (perhaps several weeks in the year) and we would stay in a mobile home that is on the land. We are easy going and respect others privacy.
